A Trinity of Suites to Help the Extended Stay Industry Get Past All its Past and Present Limitations

Choice Hotels International, Inc., one world’s largest lodging franchisors, has officially announced the launch of three new Everhome Suites breaking ground in San Antonio, Texas; Bowling Green, Kentucky; and Wichita, Kansas. According to certain reports, all these suites were developed in close collaboration with Highside Companies, each one validating Choice Hotels’ industry-leader stature, as the company takes its active Everhome suites tally to four. Beyond that, the company has 65 more of such suites in the pipeline, with 20 already under construction, and well over 15 slated to open for the wider public at some point during the next 12 months. All in all, as of Q2 2024, Choice Hotels is working to launch more than 400 hotels across its four extended stay brands. Talk about the three new suites on a slightly deeper level, though, we begin from Everhome Suites Bowling Green, which happens to be located at 1699 Charlie Court. Designed to have a whopping 115 different rooms, this particular suite will play the role of a home for Fruit of the Loom corporate headquarters and production facility, as well as for General Motors, Henkel Corporation, Georgia-Pacific, Ball Corporation, and Toyota facilities. Furthermore, the stated property is also understood to be located close to Western Kentucky University, University of Kentucky College of Medicine, and many hospitals such as Commonwealth Regional Specialty Hospital, TriStar Greenview Regional Hospital, The Medical Center at Bowling Green, and Southern Kentucky Rehab Hospital. The property is expected to become fully operational in November 2025.

“These three new locations speak to our continued leadership in new construction midscale extended stay,” said Ron Burgett, senior vice president of extended stay development at Choice Hotels International. “We’re opening hotels at a rapid pace and providing franchisees and collaborators like Highside with exceptional operational know-how in the category.”

Next up, we must dig into the Everhome Suites San Antonio, which will be located at 619 N Hunt Lane, and like the suite in Bowling Green, it is also going to have 115 rooms in total. Another detail worth a mention regarding its location here is how the facility is situated alongside Texas Highway 151 and Highway 410, which serves as San Antonio’s beltway and connects to San Antonio International Airport and Lackland Air Force Base, the sole location for U.S. Air Force enlisted basic military training. On top of that, this particular property is also within a five-mile radius of major corporate hubs, such as JPMorgan Chase Operations Center, Nationwide Insurance, Capital Group, and a 1 million square foot Wells Fargo Home Mortgage operation and connection center, one of only two such facilities in the country. The San Antonio facility will go live in November 2025.

The third and final suite set to emerge from Choice Hotels’ arsenal is Everhome Suites Wichita. Located at 3880 N Rock Road, this facility is about three miles southwest of Wichita State University. More on the same would reveal that it features a grand total of 123 rooms, something which will help it cater to a demand largely generated by military, manufacturing, and healthcare industries, with Spirit Aerosystems, Textron Aviation, and Bombardier Learjet headquarters and manufacturing facilities already in the city. Furthermore, deemed as a home to McConnell Air Force Base, the property will start welcoming guests from the fall of 2025.

Now, although a tad unique in what they bring forth, each of these suites will equip every room with a kitchen, full-sized refrigerator, dishwasher, stovetop, microwave, flatware, cookware and plenty of counter space. Next up, the facilities will have spa-style bathrooms with high-quality fixtures, alongside large closets and extra open and closed storage. Markedly enough, a few select rooms will also have in-room washer and dryer. Complimenting that is the presence of locally inspired touches including artwork, food and beverage offerings in the HomeBase Market, and a signature mural at the main entrance. There is also going to be a communal outdoor amenity area with barbeque grills, firepits, green spaces, and pools at select locations, among plenty other things.
